ZRAY Automatic Carton Erecting Machine with Hot Melt Glue (150–170 °C, 18 CPM) for Heavy-Duty Packaging | ZRAY
ZRAY has launched an automatic carton erecting machine with a built-in hot melt glue system for heavy-duty packaging. The machine forms and bottom-seals corrugated cartons at up to 18 CPM using EVA hot melt at a controlled 150–170 °C, giving a full-width glued bottom that resists moisture and stacking stress better than tape on heavy board. It is available on the Single-Piece Case Erector platform, with a three-piece option for the largest logistics boxes.
What the machine does
The unit takes RSC blanks from the magazine, forms the box around the mandrel, folds the bottom flaps and applies hot melt in a full-width pattern, then discharges the sealed carton to your conveyor. The glue system is integrated, not bolted on: the tank, pump, hose and nozzles are sized for the duty cycle, and the PID loop holds glue temperature within ±5 °C at 150–170 °C even during 20 CPM bursts. Cold glue or tape units can be swapped in on the same frame.

Why glue for heavy-duty cartons
- Moisture resistance. A glued bottom has no tape seam for moisture to wick through — relevant for chilled and export storage.
- Stacking strength. Full-width adhesive distributes load across the bottom flaps; tape concentrates it at the seam.
- Flap control. Hot melt holds flaps flat, so the box stays square through filling and palletizing — the ±1 mm corner tolerance our squaring mechanism maintains.
- Consumable economics. Glue costs less per carton than wide tape on heavy board, and there are no roll-change stoppages.
For heavy three-piece logistics cartons that need the same glued-bottom strength, the Three-Piece Case Erector carries the identical glue system. For output above 35 CPM, ask about the Double-Head High-Speed Case Former with glue applicators.
