MOSCOW, Russia, July 20, 2026 — Zray has completed the comprehensive plant layout design and equipment specification for a complete carton forming department at a major Russian household goods manufacturer’s production facility in the Moscow region. The project encompasses the configuration, installation planning, and integration design for 14 carton forming machines of various types, covering the enterprise’s full range of packaging requirements across its detergent, cleaning agent, and household paper product lines.

The whole-plant layout was developed over a six-month engineering engagement involving Zray’s Shanghai-based design team and the customer’s production engineering department. The resulting layout specifies the placement and interconnection of eight ZCF-DH double-head high-speed formers, four ZCF-S single-piece forming machines, and two ZLC-200 lid closing units, organized into four production cells aligned with the customer’s product families. Each cell is designed as a self-contained forming line with dedicated upstream blank magazine feeding and downstream conveyor integration to existing case packing and palletizing equipment.

The layout incorporates several engineering considerations specific to the Moscow facility’s operational environment. These include reinforced machine frames for the facility’s existing floor loading specifications, extended cold-start capability for the hot-melt systems to accommodate unheated warehouse conditions during winter shift changes, and a centralized dust extraction system designed for the higher paper dust generation rates observed in low-humidity indoor environments during the Russian heating season.

The project deliverables included detailed 3D CAD models of all machine placements, utility connection diagrams covering compressed air, electrical power, and data network requirements, a phased installation schedule spanning 10 weeks to minimize production disruption, and a comprehensive risk assessment according to GOST R ISO 12100 for the complete integrated line.

Equipment delivery is scheduled to commence in October 2026, with installation and commissioning phased over a three-month period. Zray will maintain a dedicated service team of four engineers on site throughout the commissioning phase, supported by the company’s Moscow-based technical office and local spare parts inventory.
