KIEV, Ukraine, August 3, 2026 — Zray has signed a contract with a leading Ukrainian beverage manufacturer for the supply of two ZCF-DH double-head high-speed carton forming machines, following a fully remote Factory Acceptance Test conducted via live video link between Zray’s Shanghai production facility and the customer’s engineering team in Kiev. The order, valued at approximately EUR 185,000, represents Zray’s first remote FAT closure with a Ukrainian customer and signals growing demand for the company’s high-speed forming solutions in the Eastern European beverage sector.

The online FAT inspection spanned two full working days, during which Zray’s quality assurance team demonstrated 22 test items covering mechanical operation, electrical safety, control system functionality, and production performance metrics. High-definition cameras positioned at six viewing angles streamed live footage of each machine running at its maximum rated speed of 24 cartons per minute, with real-time data from the PLC telemetry displayed on screen. The customer’s three-person engineering panel — comprising the plant manager, maintenance director, and automation engineer — participated via Microsoft Teams and were able to request specific test repetitions and close-up inspections on demand.

Test documentation, including vibration analysis reports, thermal imaging of electrical cabinets under full load, and dimensional accuracy measurements from 200 sample cartons, was shared in real time through a secure cloud folder. The Ukrainian team confirmed acceptance of all test items, with zero non-conformances recorded against the agreed FAT protocol based on ISO 16949 guidelines.

The two ZCF-DH machines will be installed at the beverage manufacturer’s primary bottling and packaging plant near Kiev, where they will form corrugated cartons for 1.5-liter and 2-liter PET bottle multipacks. The installation is scheduled for September 2026, with Zray providing two commissioning engineers on site for a planned 10-day integration period.

The machines are equipped with Beckhoff EtherCAT servo drives for synchronized dual-head forming motion, a Nordson ProBlue hot-melt system with automatic viscosity monitoring, and a Siemens S7-1500 PLC with integrated OEE calculation and remote diagnostics capability.
