What an Apparel and Shoe Box Line Needs

Shoe and apparel boxes are typically single-wall corrugated in E or B flute, 1.5–3.0 mm thick, 250–350 gsm, with a high-gloss printed liner. The forming machine has to:

• Pick a printed die-cut blank without scuffing the print — correct cup placement and soft handling matter.
• Form and glue the box body with clean hot-melt seams at 150–170°C, no glue bleed onto printed surfaces.
• Hold finished box tolerance at ±1.5 mm so lids and sleeves align on the packing line.
• Change over between box sizes in 5–15 minutes, because apparel runs dozens of SKUs per shift.

What the Boxes Look Like After Forming

A well-formed apparel box is square, the four side walls sit at 90° to the base, and the glue seam is invisible from the outside. The classic failure — a glue smear bleeding through the printed liner — is eliminated by closed-loop glue dosing: the tank holds temperature within ±3°C and each nozzle’s flow is regulated, so the bead lands inside the seam channel, not across the print.
