The design decisions follow how fulfillment lines actually run:

• Frequent size changes. Most fulfillment centers group orders by box size and change the tray format several times per shift. The 5-minute recipe-driven changeover is performed by one operator with no tools.
• Mixed seasonal throughput. The servo option lifts speed to 28 trays/min for peak season, then idles back to a low-energy standby mode that cuts air and power use by 70% between batches.
• Clean tape tails. The tape head applies pressure-sensitive tape with a vacuum wipe-down, so no loose tape ends reach downstream sortation conveyors.
• Low noise. Sound level is below 72 dB(A) at rated speed — relevant for fulfillment centers with shared working space and no separate machine room.

A Practical Fit Alongside Full Case Erectors

The tray erector handles shallow display and shipping trays, while a single-piece case erector handles full RSC cases on the same line. Because both machines share the same PLC platform and HMI look, operators trained on one can run the other with minimal re-training — a real advantage for centers that rotate staff across stations.
