ZRAY has launched a stainless steel carton erecting machine engineered for hygienic packaging environments: food processing plants, pharmaceutical secondary packaging, and cosmetics lines with washdown requirements. The machine is built on a 304 stainless steel frame with IP65-rated electrical enclosures and food-grade pneumatic components, and it is available in both tape-seal and hot-melt configurations.

Why Stainless Matters in Hygienic Lines

Standard painted carbon steel erectors fail in washdown environments for a simple reason: water and cleaning chemicals find the paint seams. Within a year, paint blisters at the frame joints, rust forms behind the guide plates, and the machine starts to look — and behave — like an old conveyor in a wet cellar.

The ZRAY stainless machine removes those failure points:

• 304 stainless frame with sealed joints and a smooth, drainable base plate — no paint seams to blister, no hidden water pockets.
• IP65 electrical cabinet with sealed gland plates, so the washdown water stays out of the PLC and terminals.

Built for the Hygiene Audit

For food and pharma plants, equipment choices are audited by third parties (BRCGS, IFS, or local food safety authorities). The stainless erector addresses the audit points that trip up standard machines:

• Drainable surfaces. The base plate slopes to a drain point, so standing water does not accumulate under the machine.
• Open, inspectable frame. No closed box sections where product debris could hide; all cavities are either sealed or open for inspection.
• Documented materials. The machine ships with a material certificate for the stainless frame and a declaration of conformity for the food-contact components.

Integration Notes for Existing Lines

The stainless erector uses the same PLC platform and HMI as the standard single-piece case erector and three-piece case erector, so a plant standardizing on ZRAY can run hygienic and standard machines side by side with the same operator training and spare parts structure.

For pharmaceutical lines with even stricter requirements, the machine can be specified with:

• 316L stainless for washdown areas with aggressive chemistries.
• Certified sanitary fittings on the glue system (hot-melt version).
• An optional HEPA-filtered positive-pressure enclosure for the magazine area.
